Holiday Work Prep

25 November 2019

It’s good and busy times around here!

GMB is prepping two new product releases. The first one is in a private pre-launch, and we’ll have it available to the public in time for the holidays. The second is gonna be ready for early 2020. That means there’s a ton of work to do, so I’ve been spending less time reclining and eating doughnuts lately.

📅 Here’s what’s up this week:

  • 🎧 Listening to: Hyperspace by Beck. It’s been a long time since Beck put a new album out, and this one’s good. It’s not old Beck. It’s not “fun,” but I’m pretty sure it’ll find its way into the long-term rotation.

  • 🎧 My friend Nick also recommended The Lagoons, which he’s been listening to on repeat while finishing up his book on how to have dinner parties.

  • 📖 Reading: I preordered Age of Death on Kickstarter a few weeks ago. It’s the fourth in a series of five by Michael Sullivan, and I’m excited for the final book to be available in the spring.

  • 💭 Thinking about: The Church of the SubGenius, which is not real, and the doctrinal notion of False Slack, which is very real. The short version: False Slack is short-term ease and escapism leaving you worse off than how you started.

  • 🆕 Since we’re prepping launch mode for new GMB stuff, all bets are off for just about everything else in my life.

Hope all’s well with you.

Send me a note if there’s anything I can help you out with.
